The In a Distant Shade series pins Ülker Street and Pürtelaş Street as the symbol of resistance for LGBTI+ individuals in the 90s. The works document the exclusion policies and the power struggles in those two streets. It emphasizes that streets or places, like humans, also have certain personalities and characters. It also shows how metropolitans kill diversity and do not respect different dispositions.
